Winning $2 Million Powerball Ticket Purchased In Connecticut
A 7 Eleven store on Main Street in the Oakville section of town sold a ticket that has earned one lucky customer $2 million.

WATERTOWN — A 7 Eleven customer in the Oakville section of Watertown didn't hit the Powerball jackpot Monday, but they became a millionaire none the less, though it's unknown if they even realize it.
If you purchased a Powerball ticket at the 7 Eleven store at 188 Davis St., Oakville, check your numbers. You may have just moved into a new tax bracket.
According to a release issued today by the Connecticut Lottery Corp., one $2 million Powerball Prize-Winning Ticket was sold there Monday.

"While no one hit the overall jackpot for last night's Powerball drawing, one lucky person in Connecticut purchased a ticket from 7-Eleven Store #11491A at 188 Davis St. in Oakville, with a five-number match worth $2 million," reads an announcement from CT Lottery.
The winning Powerball numbers Monday were 18 - 30 - 35 - 52 – 56. The Powerball number was 5, and the Power Play multiplier number was 2. In total, 4,276 winning Powerball tickets were sold statewide for that date.

Because the winning ticketholder added the Power Play option to their ticket, the normal prize of $1 million was automatically doubled to $2 million.

Players for this drawing have 180 calendar days or until Nov. 5, 2022, to claim their winning tickets.
Wednesday night's Powerball jackpot is an estimated $68 million with a cash value of $39 million.
The overall odds of winning a Powerball prize are 1 in 24.9. Odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292,201,338 million.
