Avon Award-Winning Children's Book Author and Photographer Open House
Award winning children's book author and photographer Mark Kimball Moulton and partner Lane Carpenter will be opening their home.

Award winning children’s book author and photographer Mark Kimball Moulton and partner Lane Carpenter will be opening their home at 41 Mountain View Avenue, Avon, CT, for a One Day Only event~ Sunday, November 30th, from 11 til 4 PM.
Mark has had 24 books published since he began his writing career in 1999.
His first book, A Snowman Named Just Bob, sold over 300,000 copies while his more recent Change the World Before Bedtime won the coveted Mom’s Choice Award in 2012. Recently Mark self-published two photography books under his and his partner’s imprint, Hearthstone Press.

The first, released in 2013, was the first time ever The Night Before Christmas has been told through the use of photography (one of the buildings from Avon Old Farms School was used as Papa’s house in the tale) and the latest, Portraits of a Country Life, released September, 2014, is a 144 hardcover featuring over 300 color images of New England throughout the seasons, many of which were taken in the Simsbury/Avon area.
Mark will be on hand at the open house to sign copies of certain of his holiday titles for children as well as his 2015 Feels Like Home calendar, Jar Candles featuring his work and boxed Christmas cards. First Edition copies of The Night Before Christmas and Portraits of a Country Life will be available as well as fresh herb wreaths, homemade potpourris and other gift items for the holiday season. Light refreshments will be served.

Parking will be available at the Avon Post Office and Sperry Park.
