Avon Gets 10 Inches of Snow, Forecast for Tonight and Tomorrow

The worst of the storm missed Avon, but that doesn’t mean the town made it out unscathed.

About 10 inches of snow fell on Avon, according to the state Department of Transportation.

Here is the National Weather Service forecast for Avon.

• Late Afternoon A chance of snow showers. Cloudy, with a high near 23. Northwest wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. Total daytime snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.
• Tonight A chance of snow showers, mainly before 9pm. Cloudy, with a low around 12. Northwest wind 9 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
• Wednesday Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 24. Northwest wind around 9 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph.
• Wednesday Night Mostly clear, with a low around 3. Northwest wind 3 to 7 mph.
