Avon Hosting Pride Flag Ceremony Friday Morning

The flag will fly all month long to celebrate LGBTQ+ Pride Day.

AVON, CT — The Town of Avon is hosting a special Pride Flag ceremony Friday morning where the flag will fly at the Avon Free Public Library all month long.

The ceremony, done to celebrate LGBTQ+ Pride Month, will take place today at 10 a.m. at the library, which is located at 281 Country Club Road.

In addition, local officials are expected to read a proclamation from the Avon Town Council declaring June LGBTQ+ Pride Month in Avon.
