Avon Library Spring literature Series Shakespeare: A Festivus for the Rest of Us

The series will discuss Shakespeare's impact on contemporary audiences.

On Saturday, March 28, 2015, the Avon Public Library kicks off the spring literature series, Shakespeare: A Festivus for the Rest of Us, with a discussion by Robert Davis, Professor of Theater at The Hartt School. Professor Davis will give an insightful overview of Shakespeare’s works and discuss his impact on contemporary audiences. Graduate theater students from The Hartt School will accompany Professor Davis by performing vignettes from selected plays. The program begins at 2:00 pm and is free to the public. Registration is not required.

Shakespeare: A Festivus for the Rest of Us is a series of lectures, films and performances for a fun & lively introduction to the “Bard of Avon”. The series will begin on March 28 and continue through May 30, 2015 at the Avon Public Library. Please see the attached flyer for a complete listing of all programs.
