AVON, CT — The Avon Police Department has been re-accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies.  The announcement was made on Friday following the previous night's Town Council meeting.      Police Chief Mark Rinaldo said he is "proud of the outstanding performance of Avon police officers, dispatchers and civilian employees."      It is the eighth accreditation award since 1993, the chief said.       Photo Credit: Avon PD

The program will again feature the CSO brass section and include Sonata pian’e forte by Gabrieli, Conga del Fuego Nuevo by Marquez, Themes from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by Williams, and Karelia Suite, Op.11 by Jean Sibelius.The program will conclude with The Firebird Suite (1919), a reorchestration of the work that “catapulted the young Stravinsky to international fame.”
