Avon Police To Participate In Special Olympics Fundraiser

Members of the department will participate in "Over the Edge" at Mohegan Sun.

AVON, CT - Members of the Avon Police Department will be participating in "Over the Edge" at Mohegan Sun to raise money for Special Olympics CT. In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Special Olympics, Chief Rinaldo and Lieutenant Schmalberger will participate in the “Toss My Boss” event, which means that with enough money raised they will rappel with Erin Connole, whose fundraising goal is $5,000.

Donate online here or contact Erin Connole at econnole@avonct.gov. All proceeds go toward supporting the state's 15,000 Special Olympics athletes.
