Newtown Kindness To Host Free Lemonade Stand Kit Giveaways for Charlotte's Lemonade Stand

While some kids are using lemonade stands to earn some extra


change this summer, Newtown Kindness has created a lemonade stand revolution with a catch: the kids who put on these lemonade stands will not be asking for money; they will be performing a random act of kindness in hopes that their visitors will pass it on to somebody else.

The organization is giving away free lemonade stand starter kits between 10:30 am – 3 pm on Saturday, June 28 at Sand Hill Plaza at 228 South Main Street in Newtown. The kits come complete with lemonade mix, pitchers, a welcome letter and random act of kindness cards to remind visitors to pass along a good deed to others.

Charlotte’s Lemonade Stand was launched in 2013 by Newtown  Kindness to kick off a “Summer of Giftivism.”  The concept of giftivism is simple: it is the practice of radically generous acts that together can change the world. Newtown Kindness hopes that Charlotte’s Lemonade Stand participants will encourage the start of a chain of giving this summer.
