Council Wants Funds Restored for Horse Guard in Avon

At a special meeting Wednesday, the council adopted a resolution to ask the state to restore the funds.

The resolution asks that the $70,000 be restored and that the two horse guard units - Avon and Newtown - remain as they are.

The vote was unanimous and several residents - and a few people from out of town - attended the meeting to support the effort.
