Donations Beginning To Come In For Derrin House Restoration

AVON, CT - Donations are starting to come in for the efforts to restore the historic Derrin House.

Avon Historical Society President Terri Wilson said about $2,000 has come in so far. The society is planning an outreach program to give residents and local organizations a primer on what the efforts entail. Society officials are still meeting with insurance representatives, she said Friday.

The Avon Historical Society has set up a fund for residents who want to donate to the Derrin House restoration efforts.

The historic farmhouse on West Avon Road was damaged in an accidental fire on May 11.
