First Company Governor's Horse Guards, Avon Historical Society Hosting Barn Dance Saturday

AVON, CT - The Friends of the First Company Governor’s Horse Guards will be joining forces with the Avon Historical Society to preserve a piece of Avon’s history by holding their first joint event.

It's called The Barn Dance and it is scheduled for Saturday at the 1GHG facility, 280 Arch Road, Avon.

The event is slated for 5 to 10 p.m. and is being sponsored by Miller Foods. Featured will be kids pony rides, country music, dancing and food - including Miller Food’s famous turkey drumsticks. There will also be a 50/50 drawing.

Tickets are $40 per person and proceeds will go toward the ongoing restoration of the Barn on West Avon Road and the continuation of the 1GHG in Avon.
