Former Avon Police Sergeant Wants Her Job Back

AVON, PD —A former local police sergeant is trying to get her job back, according to a Hartford Courtant story.
Lisa Petkis, who was fired in January, told town officials she was discriminated against her because of her gender, according to the story.
Petkis became a town police officer in 2006 and was promoted to sergeant in 2012. She was fired after an investigation that lasted nearly a year, according to the story.
