Hartford, CT – The Connecticut Democratic Party today released disturbing images posted on social media by an individual promoted by the Foley campaign in its “Talking with Tom” video series. After touting the support of a convicted sex offender, it turns out that Mr. Foley posted a video with an individual who has promoted a depiction of President Obama as a caricature of Osama Bin Laden, calling him a liar. There are other similar images on the individual's social media page.
“Mr. Foley should know that, Republican or Democrat, no one should disgrace the President by comparing him to a terrorist and no one should endorse these types of images. That’s exactly what Tom Foley has done by plastering his website with these new spokespeople for his campaign. Just look who Mr. Foley is talking to – sex offenders and individuals who equate the President with Osama bin Laden. It’s absolutely outrageous,” said Democratic Party Chairwoman Nancy DiNardo. “Tom Foley’s campaign is a reflection of who he is - totally reckless - and he should apologize to voters.”
