Suzuki Summer Playgroup performs at Barnes & Noble

Classical and fiddling tunes enjoyed by all!

Violinist Deanna Casey of Avon led the string instrumentalists in music from Mozart, Brahms, Schumann and more! The group committed to sharing their time and talent performed for the patrons of Barnes & Noble last Friday, August 22nd. The kids range in age from 10 -17 years and often surprise the audience with their fast fingers and incredible sound! All students study music following the Suzuki Method. A highlight of the performance was a fiddle tune: “Millionaire’s Hoedown” composed by Herman Clebanoff and performed by Deanna with her sister, Noelle Casey. Performers were all welcome to pick out a Free Book as part of the Barnes & Noble Summer Reading Program. The Suzuki Summer Playgroup will perform again next Wed., August 27th at Flatbread of Canton to benefit Hartt’s Fund for Access.
