TMA Science Fair and Invention Convention Winners

Talcott Mountain Academy, the only elementary/middle school in Connecticut that offers an entire program exclusively for academically talented youngsters, held their annual Science and Invention Fair on Wednesday, February 4th. Students ranging from Kindergarten through Eighth Grade displayed their science fair projects and inventions and were judged on various criteria. The winners from this competition will continue on to the Connecticut Science Fair Competition and/or The Connecticut Invention Convention in May.

Our winners are: Grade 6 - 1st Place - Braeden Rose, 2nd Place - Chase Wayne-Duffy, 3rd Place - Sarah Metcalf & Aresh Pourkavoos (tie). Grade 7 - 1st Place - Julia Hoffman, 2nd Place - Daniel Davidson, 3rd Place - Rayna Bidwell . Grade 8 - 1st Place - Eli Mathieu, 2nd Place - Nabeel Kemal, 3rd Place - Leah Dettmer.

The following students will be competing at the State Science Fair: Tasha Casey, Zachary Waskowicz, Varun Aggarwal, Rayna Bidwell, Julia Hoffman and Yusuf Zaidi.

The following students will be competing at the State Invention Convention: Eli Mathieu, Leah Dettmer, Zachary Dornfeld, Braeden Rose, Nabeel Kemal, Chase Wayne-Duffy, Aresh Pourkavoos, Julian Kage, Mariapia Asca and Leo Southam.
