Berlin Has Some of the Cheapest Gas in Connecticut
At $2.99 a gallon, one station in town is drawing lines of motorists in need of a fill-up.
It’s been years since gas prices have dipped below the $3 a gallon mark.
That is until now.
According to ConnecticutGasPrices.com, there are three Connecticut towns selling regular-grade gasoline for less than $3 a gallon — one of them right here in Berlin. The Citgo station at 109 Berlin Tpke., near Deming Road, is selling regular for $2.99. The other station is the Citgo at 2407 Berlin Tpke. near Brockett Street in Newington, according to the website.

The cheapest gas in Connecticut is being sold at $2.97 a gallon at Sam’s Club, 76 Rowley St. in Newington.
And according to NBC Connecticut, the cheap prices are drawing legions of drivers queueing up at the pumps.

The Berlin price is still above the statewide average in Connecticut — $3.49, and the national average of $3.18.
