Berlin High School Swimmers Experience Success at Class M Championships

The Redcoats had a pair of top eight placements at the class meet at Wesleyan University.

MIDDLETOWN, CT — After posting three runnerup finishes since 2012, the Brookfield High School girls swimming team finally broke through Tuesday, capturing the Class M state championship at the Wesleyan University pool.

The Bobcats compiled 688.5 points to outdistance runnerup Lauralton Hall, which had 646.5.

Berlin High School had two individuals finish in the top eight. Alina Whiteside placed fourth in 1 meter diving, while Stephanie Humen was eighth in the 100 backstroke.
