Protect Your Kids - Get Your Safety Seat Checked

Proper use of car seats and booster seats can reduce the risk of death in a crash by as much as 71 percent. The Central Connecticut Health District (CCHD), in conjunction with local police departments, is hosting safety seat checks during National Public Health Week, April 4 - 9, 2011.

Safety seat checks will be available in Berlin on Tuesday, April 5, at the Berlin Police Station by appointment only. To sign up, call (860) 828-7082. Please bring your car's owner manual and the instruction booklet for the seat to your appointment.

Results from previous safety seat checks have shown that 4 out of 5 car seats are used incorrectly. Don't let one of them be yours!
