Forecast of Snow Alters State Championship Football Games
The expected weekend snowstorm has led to a scheduling change.

A snowstorm that is expected to hit the state Saturday has altered the scheduling of the four high school state football championship games.
The Class LL championship game between Greenwich and Darien will still be played Saturday, but the start time has been moved up one hour to 10 a.m. at Boyle Stadium in Stamford.
The other three title matchups have been rescheduled to Monday, Dec. 11, beginning at 6:30 p.m.:

- L - Daniel Hand vs. Masuk, at Trumbull High School
- M - Killingly vs. Joel Barlow, at Veterans Stadium-New Britain
- S - Ansonia vs. St. Joseph, at Cheshire High School
The CIAC said it determined the updated schedule while considering appropriate and available sites, weather forecasts, and requests from school districts indicated they were uncomfortable competing and traveling on Saturday given the weather forecast.
