Lauren Middleton Is Named Sales and Marketing at Shuttle Meadow Country Club

Shuttle Meadow Country Club recently named to Golfweek Magazine’s list of Best Classic Courses in America, has hired Lauren Middleton as Director of Sales and Marketing.

Middleton will manage all marketing and sales initiatives at the club with a focus on membership development. The Middletown resident will work closely with senior management as well as the club’s Sales and Marketing Committee and Board of Directors. Additional responsibilities will include internal and external communications, development of new sales and marketing materials and management of the club’s website and social media efforts.

Middleton brings two years of marketing management experience to Shuttle Meadow, including experience in marketing and member services at Race Brook Country Club in Orange. Most recently she was marketing manager for Connecticut Trailers, Inc., in Bolton, where she helped increase sales 30 percent.

Before entering the field of sales and marketing, Middleton spent five years in the media. She was a session photographer in the advertising department for City Living Magazine in Shrewsbury, Mass., and a journalist/photographer for Clarity Digital Group/The Examiner in South Windsor.

Middleton holds an associate’s degree in digital art and photography from Quinebaug Valley Community College in Danielson.

Established in 1899 and one of the founding members of the Connecticut State Golf Association, Shuttle Meadow Country Club located to its Kensington location off Randecker Lane in 1917. Shuttle Meadow is the first American course designed by legendary course architect and World Golf Hall of Fame member Willie Park Jr., and has long been considered among the top golf courses and country clubs in the Northeast.
