Multi-Family Housing Project Proposed for Main Street in East Berlin

Would Include Conservation Easement

There was a Notice of Hearing posted at 319 Main Street in East Berlin regarding a proposal from JPG Partners LLC for 19 units of multi-family development.  The hearing was originally scheduled for Dec. 16 but has been postponed until early January.

Apparently, the architects involved needed more time to finalize documents.  (Planning & Zoning said the new hearing will be on Jan 13, but that's not official yet.)

Initial plans for the site include construction of four two-story townhomes, two  six-unit buildings, a 5-unit building, and a two-unit building.  The 7.7 acre property was previously used for commercial and industrial purposes and is located in a Planned Office Residential (POR) Zone .

Development plans include dedicating about 5 acres of the property to the town as a conservation easement.
