New Haven Man, 21, Dead In New Britain Crash: Police
The single-car accident happened on a state highway Monday afternoon.

NEW BRITAIN, CT β State police are asking for the public's help as they investigate an accident on Route 9 in New Britain that claimed the life of a young New Haven man Monday afternoon.
According to an accident report released by police Tuesday morning, Anthony Montminy, 21, of Dixwell Avenue, New Haven, was killed when the 2019 Infiniti Q50 he was driving left the state highway and crashed into a sign support.
Police said Montminy was traveling on Route 9 north, just south of Exit 37, in the center lane of three lanes.

"For an unknown reason," wrote police in the accident report, the vehicle he was driving veered across the left lane, into the left shoulder, and entered the grassy median.
That's where, police said, it slammed into a concrete support for a road sign and came to a final rest in the grassy median. Police said the time of the crash was 3:12 p.m.

Police said Montminy was pronounced dead at the scene and the fully disabled vehicle was towed away.
This case remains under investigation.
