Replica Of Henry Hudson's ship, The Half Moon, Sails The Connecticut
Ship will give tours at Riverfest in Hartford.
Patch contributors Peter and Virginia Galgano were on their boat this past weekend when all of a sudden on Monday afternoon, they heard boats sounding their air horns.
When they looked up, they saw an old sailing vessel.
Peter took photos. The sailing ship is a full size replica of the Half Moon. This is the ship Henry Hudson sailed on in 1609. It is going to be at the Hartford Riverfest on Saturday July 9th.

The ship is photographed passing the Harbor Park area between Middletown and Portland.
The Half Moon will be docked at Goodwin College, also the Home of the Connecticut River Academy High School. The students of the CT River Academy go out on the boat for five days, sailing from New London to East Hartford twice a year. The students are just returning from their summer trip and they are offering tours.
