2 Pets Killed In Bethel Fire
A home occupant was also sent to the hospital for smoke inhalation.

BETHEL, CT — Two pets were killed and a resident was sent to the hospital after a fire on Judd Avenue Monday morning.
The fire occurred before 9 a.m. and firefighters encountered heavy flames inside the basement, Bethel Fire and EMS said on Facebook.
Most of the fire was knocked down quickly and crews remained on scene until about 12:30 p.m.

An occupant was sent to Danbury Hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.

Danbury firefighters also responded to the scene and Newtown, West Redding and Brookfield fire departments covered for Bethel during the incident.
