BETHEL, CT — An early morning fire has displaced a family of five from their home.

Firefighters from the Stony Hill Volunteer Fire Company responded to a basement fire around 3 a.m. on Friday, sending a fire engine and a rescue unit to the scene at Grassy Plain Terrace.

No injuries were reported, but the American Red Cross says they are providing aid to the family of two adults and three children to meet the family's immediate needs.
