Bethel Appoints New Fire Marshal

The new position will work one day a week in Bethel and assist with calls on weekends, if necessary.

BETHEL — The Bethel Board of Selectmens named Wayne Gravius, a retired fire marshal, as the new deputy fire marshal, The News Times is reporting.

Gravius retired last year was fire marshal in Brookfield, where he had worked since 1982.

He remains as the fire chief for the Brookfield Volunteer Fire Company and the town’s emergency management director.
