There will be a meeting of Planning and Zoning Commission (P&Z) during which Mr. B. Shawn McLoughlin will submit an application to have a special permit to allow a crematorium in Bethel's Clarke Business Park (formerly Francis J. Clarke Industrial Park).
(NOTE: Spelling of owner's name is still on question, after I checked with the P&Z, who was not sure of the spelling until the actual application is handed in, so I am using the name registered online from the owner of Mono-Crete Step Co. of CT, LLC in Bethel, CT, but info. below is as-listed in the info. so far.)
Meeting will take place on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 (see more info. below). This is your chance to make comments during a public hearing.

The Bethel Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing on March 25, 2014 at 7 p.m. in the Riordian Meeting Room D, 1 School Street, Bethel, Connecticut, to hear an application by Shawn McLaughlin for a text amendment to the Town of Bethel Zoning Regulations.
Amend section 4.3 permitted uses
C. Service Uses (to be permitted in the Industrial Park Zone by Special permit)
10a. Crematory facility for the disposal by incineration of the bodies of the dead.
With requirements a thru g.
At this Hearing interested persons will be heard and written communication received. A copy of the proposed regulation is available for perusal at the Land Use Office, the Town Clerk's Office, and 1 School Street, Bethel, Connecticut.
