Bethel Crews Tackle Car Fire In Market Parking Lot

BETHEL, CT — Firefighters tackled a car fire in the parking lot of Caraluzzi's Bethel Market on Thursday night.

Fire officials said first responders found a car in the middle of the lot with a fire still contained to the engine compartment. Crews quickly extinguished the fire and were able to keep it from spreading to the passenger side, giving the owner the opportunity to retrieve documents and personal belongings.

No injuries were reported.
