Bethel Firefighters Tackle Basement Fire

BETHEL, CT — No injuries were reported following a basement fire at a Sunset Hill Drive residence Saturday.

Crews from Bethel Fire & EMS and Stony Hill Volunteer Fire Company were dispatched in the early afternoon and quickly got the fire under control with dry chemical extinguishers, according to a report on social media.

Assistance was provided by Redding Fire & EMS Company #1, West Redding Volunteer Fire Department, Dodgingtown Volunteer Fire Company, No. 1. Inc., Brookfield Volunteer Fire Company, Eversource, and the Salvation Army of Danbury.
