Bethel Man Charged With DUI After Accident: Milford Police

Police said when the accused was asked why he was in the parking lot he stated he believed he was on a highway at the time of the accident.

MILFORD, CT — Police say a Bethel man is accused of driving while under the influence of alcohol in Milford and when officers asked the accused why he was in a parking lot he told police he believed he was on the highway.

On August 13 officers responded to a once-car motor vehicle accident on 1 Corporate Campus on Wheelers Farms Road, police said. Investigation led to the arrest of Emanuel Cambra, 26, of Wheelers Farms Road, who is accused of driving his motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, police said.

Cambra provided a breath sample, which showed him to have an elevated blood alcohol content, police said. When Cambra was asked why he was in the parking lot he stated that he believed he was on Route 15 at the time of the accident, police said.

He is charged with DUI and given a $500 bond.
