Bethel Police Arrest Log For July 31 - Aug. 6

BETHEL, CT — A couple of fights were at the top of the Bethel Police Department's arrest log last week.
On July 28, around 9:37 in the morning on Plumtrees Road, Bethel police stopped a car with a suspended registration. After further investigation, they determined the vehicle did not have valid insurance, a fact which the driver admitted.
Police issued a misdemeanor summons to a 24-year-old Old Hawleyville Road resident for driving without insurance and with a suspended license. She was scheduled to appear in Danbury Superior Court on Aug. 10.

At 6:12 p.m. the same day, police were dispatched to Greenwood Avenue on a report of a fight. After some investigation, police charged the Greenwood Avenue resident with breach of peace "due to his violent and tumultuous behavior," according to their report. The man was arrested, processed, and released on a written promise to appear in Danbury Superior Court on Aug. 11.
On Aug. 1, a Bethel resident complained to police they had been attacked by a 59-year-old woman, also of Bethel. After further investigation, police charged her with disorderly conduct and scheduled her to appear in court the next day.
