Bethel Sees State Aid Cut by $1 Million Under Malloy's New Plan
Bethel's state aid would see an 11 percent cut if the governor's latest proposal makes its way through the General Assembly.

BETHEL, CT - The bad news keeps coming for Connecticut municipalities as the state attempts to claw out from under its budget mess.
Under Gov. Dannel P. Malloy's revised, proposed adjustments to the fiscal year 2019 budget previously adopted by the legislature state municipal aid would be cut nearly $100 million - both in the education and non-education side.
Bethel would receive 10 percent - or $992,448 under Malloy's plan. Previously it was slated to get $8.9 million; now, $7.8 million.
