BREAKING NEWS: Fatal 3-Car Crash in Danbury, near Bethel, on South Street.

"Danbury police are confirming three people dead in the three-vehicle accident on South Street Tuesday morning. Police are not yet identifying the victims, but said two were the driver and passenger in one of the cars and the third was operating a second vehicle that collided with them head-on."

Update 1:00pm CT News: South Street in Danbury remains closed as police continue to investigate a serious three car accident Tuesday.
The accident, which was near the Bethel line, involved one box truck and two sedans. Officials at the scene said two people were extricated from the vehicles and CPR was being performed on scene on at least two victims who were unconscious at the time.
Four people were transported to Danbury Hospital. The cause of the accident, which didn’t occur near an intersection, remains under investigation.
