Connecticut Choral Society to present three Candlelight and Carols Concerts

Tickets are now available for the Connecticut Choral Society’s three family-friendly Candlelight and Carols concerts on Friday, December 9th, 8 pm (Trinity Episcopal Church, 36 Main Street, Newtown), and both Saturday, December 10th and Sunday, December 11th, 3 pm (North Congregational Church, 11 Main Street North, Woodbury).

Under the direction of Eric Dale Knapp, this holiday celebration of the season features music inspired by snow, with styles ranging from traditional to pop to swing. The program begins with a gentle and reflective opening, and builds through bold proclamation and joyous celebration. Highlights include On This Winter’s Night, the 2012 mega-holiday hit from the Grammy-award winning group Lady Antebellum, and Snow on Snow, by Philip Lawson of the world-renowned King's Singers. The audience is invited to join with the ensemble to sing Irving Berlin’s much-loved classic, White Christmas.
