UPDATE: Police Report 2 Dead After Disturbance In Bethel Home

BETHEL, CT — A man and woman are dead from apparent gunshot wounds following a disturbance at a Bethel home Tuesday night, police are reporting.

The Bethel Police Department responded to a complaint regarding yelling coming from a home on Reservoir Street near Route 53 at 11:49 p.m. First responders found the couple suffering from apparent gunshot wounds, and began treating them, but pronounced the woman dead at the residence, police said.

The man was taken to Danbury Hospital, where he was also pronounced dead.

There is no threat to the community, according to the report.

The incident remains under active investigation.
