A fun night with comedy, dancing, buffet, silent auction, and gifts!

Win Red Sox tickets, Kate Spade gifts, Dwayne Wade jersey, and more. Dance, eat and laugh to the comedy of Tony Liberati!

At one event, which happens on Saturday, May 9, you can do it all: laugh, buy, dance, eat, donate. A “Night of Comedy, Music and Dance,” sponsored by St. Thomas’ Episcopal Church of Bethel, features three comedians, silent auction, dancing to DJ-selected tunes, a mystery grab-and-go, and a buffet dinner. A portion of the proceeds go to Relay for Life and the Scotty Fund.

Included in the numerous items for auction are:
• Six tickets for Red Sox-Blue Jays game on June 14, with seats in the Home Plate Pavilion Club
• Mother’s Day Treat Box, which includes a Kate Spade leather purse, Kate Spade travel mug, notebooks and cards, a Stella and Dot bracelet, Aveda lotion, and an American Eagle robe
• Golf foursome at Rock Ridge Country Club in Newtown, CT
• Remote car starter with installation package
• Authenticated autographed Dwyane Wade of Miami Heat jersey
• Authenticated autographed Nolan Ryan statue
• Handmade quilt

Mystery Grab-N-Go is an additional way to donate, with every bag a winner. Select a neon gift bag for $20 and discover one or more gift cards inside, totaling $25 - $35.

Comedians are Tony Liberati and friends, Howie Mason and Mike Finoia. Liberati’s clean act has been entertaining audiences for nearly 15 years. At 19, a sketch he wrote and performed appeared on ABC’s America’s Funniest People. Recently his jokes were published alongside greats like Chris Rock and Henny Youngman in The Idiots Guide to Jokes by Alpha Publishing.

Liberati has a Master’s degree in elementary education. His experience as a teacher provides plenty of material about the nostalgia of childhood and includes observational humor from being in a classroom.

Co-chairs Dawn Fawcett and Robin Michell are making a special effort to teach out to the community. “We’re looking forward to a strong attendance,” said Fawcett. “It’s fun. It’s a night out. It’s camaraderie; getting to know new people, and helping some great causes.”

The event will be held at Pizzeria Mazzo, 32 Newtown Road in Danbury, CT. Tickets are $45/person. Contact Dawn Fawcett at DawnFaw@aol.com or 203-794-1877. Dead line to purchase your ticket is May 4th. Donations can be sent to St. Thomas’ Episcopal Church, 95 Greenwood Ave., Bethel, CT 06801.
