Here’s What Bethel Police Responded To In March

New data shows arrests, crashes and other calls handled by officers last month.

BETHEL, CT — Bethel police handled a range of calls in March, including dozens of traffic stops, medical assists and crashes, according to newly released data.

The Bethel Police Department reported 273 motor vehicle stops last month, along with 58 medical assists and 29 motor vehicle accidents.

Police also made 22 arrests during the month, the data shows.

Other incidents included seven larcenies, seven domestic incidents and four identity theft or fraud cases.

Police reported three DUI cases and five crisis intervention calls.

More serious incidents remained relatively low, with one burglary and one stolen motor vehicle reported in March.

The department also handled 55 alarms and 31 animal complaints, according to the report.

The monthly statistics provide a snapshot of the types of calls and incidents officers respond to in town.
