Multiple Fire Departments Called To Extinguish Bethel Blaze

Firefighters from multiple local departments tackled a house fire in Bethel on Friday morning.

BETHEL, CT — Firefighters from multiple local departments tackled a house fire in Bethel on Friday morning.

Bethel and Stony Hill crews were alerted around 9:50 of a fire at a residence in the Stony Hill section of town. First responders found smoke pouring from every window.

Mutual aid was requested from Brookfield and Candlewood Companies. Crews from Danbury Engine 24 and Danbury EMS also assisted.

The floor collapsed shortly after the firefighters arrived, forcing all personnel to evacuate the home and prolonging the operation, according to the report from Bethel Fire & EMS.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Bethel Fire Marshal's Office.
