The Bethel Public Library celebrates Founder’s Day with a music and history program on Thursday, Sept. 24 at 7 p.m. in the Library’s Community Room. Please join us for “On the Job: Historic Songs of American Work and Trades” to hear Rick Spencer, our favorite historian/musician, perform songs about farmers, peddlers, housewives, railroaders, soldiers, sailors, and other hard-working folks. He’ll also include a discussion of the labor movement in America, and the modern use of songs which describe work.

The program will be enjoyed by adults and students Grades 6+. Registration is required due to space constraints. Please call 203-794-8756 ext. 4, register at the website www.bethellibrary.org, or sign up in person at the Library. Sponsored by the Library Board of Directors.
