Police Warn of Thefts From Unlocked Vehicles

The Brookfield Police Department is investigating a series of car break-ins similar to the incidents that occurred in Bethel last week.

The Brookfield Police Department is investigating a series of thefts from unlocked vehicles in Brookfield that happened sometime between Thursday evening and Friday morning.

They urge residents to remove valuables and lock vehicles.

Bethel police recently warned residents about similar incidents after several car thefts were reported last week. There were also numerous reports of merchandise being stolen from unlocked vehicles. Brookfield police did not say the incidents are related, however, all residents are reminded to lock their vehicles and park in a well-lit area.
