Relay for Life Holds Annual Walk in Bethel
Last year, Relay for Life nationally helped to raise more than $279 million for cancer research.

BETHEL, CT -- Relay for Life of Greater Danbury will be holding their annual walk to raise awareness for and money for cancer research on Saturday, June 9 at Bethel High School.
More than just a "walk," the event accompanies a variety of entertainment and activities throughout the day:
- 11:00 a.m. - Opening Ceremony
- 12:30 p.m. - Survivor Luncheon
- 1:30 p.m. - Pound Auction
- 1:45 p.m. - Karik the band performs
- 2:30 p.m. - Ashurst Irish Dancers
- 3:00 p.m. - Tai Chi Easy led by Irene Mardal, LMT, CLT, LE
- 3:30 p.m. - Candlewood Fencing Center: Saber demonstration
- 4:15 p.m. - ERA Productions: Student Musical Performances
- 4:00 p.m.-6:00pm - Penny the clown
- 5:00 p.m. - Limbo Contest & Survivor Ice Cream Social
- 6:00 p.m. - Frozen T-Shirt Contest
- 7:30 p.m. - Road to Recovery Drag Races
- 8:00 p.m. - King Evan Tribute Hour
- 9:00 p.m. - Luminaria Ceremony
- 11:00 p.m. - Closing Ceremony
Kids' activities throughout the day will include: water balloon games, crafts, dodgeball, hula hoop scramble, an inflatable, themed laps and more.
