Republicans Gather and Hit the Campaign Trail Yesterday

Story and Photography
by Paula Antolini

First Selectman candidate Will Duff and Selectman Paul Szatkowski hosted a pizza party on Saturday, November 2, 2013, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., which took place at the Republican Headquarters on Greenwood Avenue in Bethel, for volunteers who are helping with the Republican campaign.

Duff, Szatkowski, other Republican candidates running for office, and a number of volunteers organized campaign literature to hand out to residents. BRTC Chairman Paul Improta and BRTC Member (and also President of the Bethel Historical Society) Pat Rist were also there helping.

The party spread outdoors too, due to beautiful weather, and residents were able to chat with the candidates.

Candidates and volunteers later hit the campaign trail to talk to residents in Bethel neighborhoods, and planned on reaching out more to residents via phone too.
