2015-16 Season a Panoply of Musical Delights

The RSO’s 2015-16 Season spotlights some of the best known and loved music from the greatest composers. The RSO opens the season on October 3rd, 2015, with a pair of spectacular Russian showpieces- Tchaikovsky’s Fourth Symphony and Borodin’s Polovtsian Dances. The orchestra’s February 13th, 2016, performance features one of the great virtuoso showpieces for orchestra, Rimsky-Korsakav’s Scheherazade. Classical contemporaries are featured on March 5th, 2016- Mozart’s immortal Symphony #35 “Haffner,” and Haydn’s Symphony #67. A season ending spectacular of German masters- Richard Strauss’ ravishingly, achingly beautiful Four Last Songs and Mahler’s First Symphony- end the RSO’s season on May 14th, 2016, in a blaze of triumphant brass.
