Stabbing Suspect From Danbury Found Hiding: Bethel Police

One man was injured and another attacked by the suspect in Bethel Wednesday night.

BETHEL, CT — A Danbury man was arrested for allegedly stabbing a man in the head on Elizabeth Street Wednesday night.

Bethel Police say that Mitchell Gleason, 23, of Danbury was found hiding nearby the scene of the alleged attack at 21 Elizabeth St. Police at the scene found a man with a head wound which was reported to be from a knife at around 9:35 p.m.

The victim with the head wound was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Officers at the scene found another victim that had been attacked.

When was found hiding, Gleason ran from police but was caught and arrested, police say. Gleason was also seen tossing away a small amount of marijuana.

He is charged with assault in the second degree, disorderly conduct, interfering with police and possession of less than 1/2 ounce of marijuana. Gleason was held on a $50,000 bond and transported to Danbury Superior Court for arraignment Thursday.
