BETHEL, CT — Firefighters battled a blaze on Saturday which destroyed a condominium and sent two people to the hospital, according to a report on Stony Hill Volunteer Fire Company's social media.
Bethel and Stony Hill firefighters responded to a call just after 5:30 pm. on Saturday about a fire at the Plumtrees Heights complex. First responders were met with heavy fire coming from the rear of the condo on the second floor, and began evacuating adjoining units.
Crews were able to contain the fire to just the one unit of origin, and extinguished it within 20 minutes. Two people were taken to Danbury Hospital with minor injuries.

The fire is under investigation by the Bethel Fire Marshal's office.
Brookfield Volunteer Fire Deptartment, Candlewood Company and West Redding Volunteer Fire Department pitched in to provide station coverage for the crews who were responding to the fire.
