7th Annual Knights of Columbus “Coats for Kids" Program Returns
The goal is to ensure that no child in North America goes without a coat during the winter season.

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS TRINITY COUNCIL 5467
The purpose for this letter is to ask you to join us and support the 7th Annual Knights of Columbus “Coats for Kids” program sponsored by Trinity Council 5467 in Woodbridge. When families struggle to clothe their children with warm coats in the winter, the Knights of Columbus help meet this basic need with the Coats for Kids program. The goal is to ensure that no child in North America goes without a coat during the winter season.
Since our program started in 2015, Trinity Council 5467 has distributed 1,944 coats. In 2020 we set a new record and distributed 552 coats to individual families, schools, parishes and service organizations in Ansonia, Bethany, Bridgeport, Milford, New Haven, Wallingford, West Haven and Woodbridge.

Last year, through your generosity, we were able to raise $11,897. This year, we would like to meet or exceed last year’s coat drive and distribute 600 coats to needy children throughout New Haven County. To achieve this goal, the council will need to raise $12,500. Each box of 12 coats
cost the council $250. If you would like to make a donation of any amount to help purchase these coats, please mail your check, payable to the Trinity Council #5467, to Patrick Early Jr., 18 Anthony Court, Bethany, CT 06524 by October 17th to assist us with our planning.
Please contact Pat Early (H-203-393-1034, C-203-376- 6377) or Bob Ellis (H-203-393-0787, C-203-494-8160) if you have questions or if you know of families with children who could benefit from receiving a new winter coat. The coats will be distributed between October 17-December
18. Thank you for considering this request.
