Amity Golf Opens Season with a Win

Freshman Keating Seymour shoots low score against North Haven and East Haven.

The Amity golf team opened its season last week with Southern Connecticut Conference inter-divisional wins over North Haven (152-218) and East Haven (152-190). The tri-match was played at the . The Spartans were led by freshman Keating Seymour who fired a medalist round of 39. Backing him up were Aaron Uscilla (40), Brent Marieb (40) and Alex Marieb (43).

According to Coach George Taylor, “This was a very good day for us. We had good scores. It was one of the better Opening Day matches we’ve had. I was really pleased to see Keating play so well in his first high school match. He shot an unusually low score for a freshman. I certainly did not expect that low a score from a kid who is playing in his first varsity match.”
