Animal Cruelty Charges Dropped Against Woodbridge Animal Control Officer

The Woodbridge Police Department brought the charges against Karen Lombardi.

Woodbridge Animal Control Officer Karen Lombardi is back on the job after criminal charges were dropped against her, the Amity Observer reports.

Lombardi was charged with cruelty to animals and second-degree larceny back in 2013. She was alleged to have slammed a small dog against the wall, the New Haven Register reported.

Woodbridge Police filed the charges against Lombardi, and her attorney said they believe it was politically motivated, the Observer reports.
