Bishop Peter Rosazza Social Justice Conference Update
The annual Bishop Rosazza Social Justice Conference is an event of our office that brings together those involved in social ministry.

The annual Bishop Rosazza Social Justice Conference is an event of our office that brings together those involved in social ministry from across our own archdiocese and beyond for formation, inspiration and connections.
As you know, concern about the coronavirus and the risk it poses for major gatherings has
caused the cancellation of many events. With regret, we are cancelling our physical
gathering in June out of concern for the health and wellbeing of our attendees and speakers in these uncertain times.
BUT we have GOOD NEWS! Instead, we will launch a new ONLINE experience on June 6, the original conference date, and attendance will be FREE and open to all!

Our theme, Open Wide Our Hearts, will be offered as a yearlong “online conference” in response to the recent US Bishops’ Pastoral Letter on Racism. The topic is too important, and too timely, to let it go.
We will begin on Saturday, June 6th with a 90 minute webinar featuring our scheduled keynote speaker, Alejandro AguileraTitus. SAVE THE DATE! The virtual conference will continue throughout the year with monthly webinars and events. This special opportunity to learn and grow together will culminate, hopefully, in our regular gathered event in June, 2021.

A special prayer during this health crisis
Compassionate and Loving Father, in the face of confusion and concern impart to us
the calm of your presence. In You allow us to find hope and healing. Be with those who
serve the sick and give them Your caring hands. Be with those who lead and give
them Your Spirit of wisdom. Be with those who have fallen ill and give them Your comforting heart. Wrap your arms around our world and hold us in your love. Allow us
at this time of trial to then serve as instruments of that love to all we meet. We ask
this in Your Name. Amen.
