An attempt at food poetry

An attempt at poetry to explain the frustration of waiting to order lunch along with a recipe that is so simple and delicious that you might eat it more often then you should

Money in hand
At the back of the line
Just want a burger
Why is this person arguing about the internal temp
Eating it rare can be a danger to your health

Thinking about that first bite
It can make you go crazy
You know what you want
Tomatoes, onion, lettuce and some hot peppers
why does it seem like time is standing still

Brisket, foie gras, or some pulled pork
Would be amazing inside of my hamburger
I wonder if anyone in the area makes that
Probably not, so I will have to make it myself

I hope you enjoyed my attempt at food poetry
If not here is a recipe

Pulled Pork Burger

You start out with a basic pulled pork recipe:

Ingredients:
1 (2 LBS) Pork shoulder or butt
1 can of Root Beer (I would use a root beer with real sugar in it to avoid the splenda taste)
1 (18 oz) Bottle of BBQ sauce

Place all ingredients in a slow cooker, cover, and cook on low for about 5 to 6 hours or until the meat falls apart with a fork. Discard of the liquid.

After this is accomplished simply make a large, square, flat burger patty (about ½ in thick) out of about ⅓ lbs of ground beef, place a small amount of the pulled in the middle of the patty, and then fold the corners of the  burger over the pulled pork and use your hand to gently seal and shape the burger. If the burger open up while cooking use a brush to use well whisked eggs as a glue. Cook the burger with the sealed side down.

This is one of my few guilty pleasure foods just for the reason that paired with a nice wheat beer you don’t have a care in the world when you look down at your finished plate.
